From March 31 to April 9, 2022 young men and women from 7 different countries of the European Union met in Nea Kallikrateia, Halkidiki as part of a Youth Exchange. The program was implemented with the support of Erasmus+ and the Foundation for Youth and Lifelong Learning. 44 young men and women traveled to Nea Kallikrateia to participate in an innovative youth exchange and mobility program, which had digital transformation as its main theme. The participants had the opportunity to interact on issues that directly and daily concern the youth in Europe and beyond. Social networking platforms that are used by millions of people around the world every day and can prove to be useful tools for the future of young people were presented during the program and activities. Reflections on the prevailing situation in the labor market and the effort to combat unemployment through social networks and the opportunities offered by the latter for work and work throughout Europe occupied the participants, who worked on these issues in groups. Young men and women from all over Europe also had the opportunity to meet the local residents of Nea Kallikrateia. The interaction with the residents helped the young men and women to understand the situation prevailing in Greece. At the same time, the program included a visit to Thessaloniki, where the participants had the opportunity to get to know the city and taste the local cuisine. The exchange ended with the overall evaluation of the program and the conclusions that emerged from the 10-day stay of the young people in Nea Kallikrateia. In the program, strong friendships were created by young women from different European countries, while they also exchanged profiles on social media in order to maintain the very beautiful and friendly atmosphere that developed in New Kallikrateia.
